It's never too early to read to your child

Savannah had fun reading to Amelia today. She would even show her the pictures in the book. Very cute! Thanks Donny and Tricia for sharing Savannah with us today.

Amelia with her rattle

Amelia was blessed with a silver rattle from my friends at Alvin Goldfarb Jeweler. She has started to realize that she has hands and they hold things. Fun things that make noise. It was fun to watch her experience this and smile every time she moved her hand.

I love being a Daddy.

Mayer Family

We decided it was time to get some pictures of all four of us together. We really don't have many and it's been hard to find ones to send to people.

Tuppy & Amelia on the couch.

New member of our family!

We are going to have another international student staying with our family. Her name is Julia Gustaffson. You will hear more about her in the coming months and will hopefully meet her after she arrives in August.

Sorry for the poor video... but we hoped to capture her voice for you all.

Amelia has officially found her thumb...mmmm tasty

sleepy girl

I think this might explain why Amelia is starting to consistently sleep through the night!

Camping Amelia

happy camper - c

So while Jason was touring the Hood Canal with his newfound (old) friends, I (Heather) packed up Amelia and hopped on the ferry to Seattle to enjoy the balmy weather with friend Christy. It's so great to have friends you can just "hang out" with. We visited Trophy cupcakes (yum!) and then trekked to Green Lake where we set up camp for a bit and enjoyed the sun. Little Amelia exercised her newly discovered voice by squealing, cooing, and laughing. She is just such a doll!

Motorcycle ride today around Hood Canal

The weather was absolutely AMAZING today. 71 degrees. Perfect. As you can tell... I'm the youngest of the group.... what's wrong with this picture! :-)

These guys are amazing riders. They really know their bike and I've learned a lot from them today.

Cute Picture of Amelia today...

Amelia is sure coming into her own personality. She is so happy and good natured. She also knows how to let us know when she really wants something. 0-60; calm to outright scream! It's actually pretty funny. She stiffens right up and lets loose. Is that a sign of a strong character?
